Harpsichordist and musicologist Susan Erickson is active as a performer and teacher in the greater Bay Area. She lives in Davis, California, and performs regularly with several chamber music groups in the Sacramento area. She teaches both harpsichord and piano. As a musicologist and performer, she has long been interested in keyboard performance practices of the 17th and 18th centuries. See Biography for more information about her current research.
Her most recent recording, Domenico Zipoli’s Sonate d’intavolatura per cimbalo (1716), has now been released (Demeter 1688). She participated in a CD signing at Carleton College in Northfield, MN in June, and plans another release in Davis, CA in the coming months, in coordination with a series of baroque house concerts. She will also be appearing with the Capitol Chamber Players in Sacramento during their next season.
